LINE-UP - 24 NOVEMBER 2008 - Alan Eatwell's Show!!!
Here it is for next Monday, when Alan Eatwell (021 448 7357) has invited;
(1) HUGH & TRACEY COUTTS
They quite independently, earned places in the Songwriter's Competition Finals purely on the basis of their talent. They turn in a polished & performance every time, due in part to the warmth of their on-stage collaboration and years of experience of what works well musically!
(2) PICKLED WULLIE
Roger Addison, John Gnodde, Alwyn Lea & Neil Berry make up the epitome of an Irish pub band. With a mix of material from the 'traditional' to the mildly hysterical, they are invariably highly entertaining!
(3) IN THE DEEP END
This is Nic le Mesurier's newly-formed outfit, featuring Veronica ('Ronnie') Ronson who has resumed playing bass-guitar after an almost 30-year hiatus; Monique, doing the vocals in inimitable style, Mervyn Flink on percussion & of course Nic himself on guitar. This is their Barleycorn debut, so a proper welcome is in order!
(4) JULIA CONRADIE
Rumour has it, she might be road-testing a new song or two!? It is always a pleasure to witness her strong, confident writing & performing skills and she's on top form right now!
Altogether a good Monday evening out!
